Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) encompasses the processes and approaches for addressing laws, regulations, DoD policies, environmental compliance, and hazards associated with environmental impacts, system safety, occupational safety and health, hazardous materials management, and pollution prevention. Efforts to identify and analyze ESOH hazards and mitigate ESOH risks provide information needed for informed requirements and design decisions. For more information on ESOH as a design consideration, see DAG Chapter 4 section 4.3.18.9 [https://acc.dau.mil/dag4.3.18.9]. This sub-topic area contains information on ESOH considerations. Also see the ESOH Community of Practice [https://acc.dau.mil/esoh] for more information on ESOH in acquisition planning.
