This is an open prompt. Please share any ideas you have for improving the datasets that the Department of Education offers.

@rebeccawilliams

I have ideas for improving IPEDS data

  1. It'd be great if the Department of Education put their IPEDS data in a collection on Data.gov so it was easier to search.

  2. It'd be great if the Department of Education provided IPEDS in bulk open formats. There is a lot of interest in bulk open IPEDS data as evidenced by some reverse engineering tools online. Featuring these helpful tools and reaching out to the creators and users of these tools for user feedback would help improve IPEDS data.

@rebeccawilliams Thank you! We're sensing a pattern: lots of need around accessing IPEDS data. This is super helpful.
