Michael A. Rosas

Judge

Judge Rosas was appointed in August of 2003. He served as a judge for both SSA and the Federal Maritime Commission before transferring to the NLRB.  Before that he had 22 years of litigation experience in State and Federal courts.  He served as an Assistant New York City Corporation Counsel, Assistant Counsel to Governor Mario Cuomo, and as Assistant New York State Attorney General-In Charge of the Claims Bureau.  He received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.  He attended New York Law School and Golden Gate University School of Law, receiving his law degree in 1979.  He has over 35 years of service to professional and civic organizations, currently serving as the NLRB Delegate to the Executive Committee of the Federal Administrative Law Judges Conference and as a Board Member of Legal Services of Northern Virginia.  He is a member of the ABA, Virginia Bar Association and Hispanic Bar Association of Virginia.
