Northwest California Integrated RMP

The Northwest California Integrated Resource Management Plan will establish management goals and actions to maintain, develop, and protect the resource values of BLM-managed lands within the Arcata and Redding field office jurisdictions in Humboldt, Mendocino, Del Norte, Trinity, Shasta, Siskiyou, Butte and Tehama counties.

The  planning area includes approximately 396,000-acres of BLM-managed public lands.  Examples include the Samoa Dunes and Chappie-Shasta off-highway-vehicle recreation areas, the Eel and Trinity rivers, and the Sacramento River Bend Outstanding Natural Area.

2. Notice of Intent

In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended (NEPA), and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, as amended, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Redding and Arcata Field Offices intend to prepare a Resource Management Plan (RMP) known as the Northwest California Integrated Resource Management Plan with an associated Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). This notice announces the beginning of the scoping process to solicit public comments and identify issues. The RMP will replace the existing Redding Resource Management Plan (1993) and Arcata Resource Area Resource Management Plan (1992).

3. Scoping Phase

The Bureau of Land Management, Arcata and Redding Field Offices, invite you to attend an open house to learn about the Northern California Integrated Plan (NCIP) and identify issues that should be analyzed in the plan.

Scoping meetings will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The open house format allows you to come and go as you please.

Wednesday, January 11: Eureka, Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center, 921 Waterfront Dr.

Tuesday, January 17:  Willits, City Hall, 111 Commercial St.

Wednesday, January 18: Chico, Oxford Suites, 2035 Business Ln.

Thursday, January 19:  Yreka, Miner's Inn 122 E Miner St.
