Anaerobic digestion is a process that uses microorganisms to break down biodegradable, organic waste, without oxygen. The breakdown of these materials produces biogas – specifically, methane (CH4) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) – that’s fully contained so that it never enters the atmosphere.
