Immigration Accountability Executive Actions
Lea esta pagina en Español>>
On November 20, 2014, President Barack Obama announced his common-sense Immigration Accountability Executive Actions to help fix our broken immigration system. Using his legal authority, the President’s executive actions will secure our borders, prioritize deporting felons not families, and streamline legal immigration. Approximately 4 million undocumented immigrants may be eligible to register to temporarily stay in the U.S. without fear of deportation if they have been here for 5 or more years, they pass background checks and pay taxes. To read more about the President’s plan, click here for English, and here for Spanish. If you believe that you, or someone you know, may be eligible to register for this program, please contact our office. Registration for the program has not yet started. Please beware of notarios or others who may lie about what these changes by the President mean. |
Expanded Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program
Who is eligible?
- Current DACA recipients seeking renewal and new applicants, including individuals born prior to June 15, 1981, who meet all other DACA guidelines.
What is DACA?
- Allows individuals born prior to June 15, 1981, to apply for DACA (removing the upper age restriction) provided they meet all other guidelines.

- Extends the deferred action period and employment authorization to three years from the current two years.
When can I apply?
- A federal court has issued a preliminary injunction preventing USCIS from accepting requests for expanded DACA on February 18, as originally planned. The Court’s order does not affect the existing DACA. Individuals may continue to come forward and request initial grant of DACA or renewal of DACA pursuant to the guidelines established in 2012.
How do I apply?
- Go to the USCIS Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) page for instructions which will be updated over the next several months.
