Our ability to provide quality care for the people of Scott County depends on a group of knowledgeable individuals with excellent skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care and customer service.
Georgetown-Scott County EMS (GSCEMS) is the sole EMS provider in Scott County Kentucky. Established in 1976, GSCEMS provides service to a population of 50,000 that reside in the 285 square miles of the county. In addition to our residents, thousands of individuals travel through the county each day on Interstates 64 & 75 and come to work at various industrial sites and study at Georgetown College. Based out of three stations, GSCEMS operates 4 Advanced Life Support units 24/7/365, answering over 7,500 requests for service annually. The crews work under off-line medical control utilizing protocols established by the Kentucky Board of EMS. A paramedic supervisor oversees each shift and responds to high acuity calls in a SUV to provide additional assistance.
