The Rabbit in Immunology & Infectious Disease Research

This website section responds to the identified need to have a centralized Web-based resource for all who use rabbits in research. The goal is to post successfully used reagents, protocols, primer sequences, and other information useful to researchers using the rabbit as an animal model of human diseases.

PCR Primers & Probes

During the Rabbit Immunology workshop, participants identified the need for a web section to post primers & probes and to include specifics on reaction conditions for use and/or links to publications, describing use of primers/probes.

Protein Products

During the Rabbit Immunology Workshop, participants identified the need for a Web section related to protein prducts, such as IFN-gamma, plasmid or protein.

Techniques

During the Rabbit Immunology Workshop, participants identified a need for a section describing techniques that are special in working with rabbit, such as the preservation technique for rabbit lymphocytes.

ListServ

NIAID has established the Rabbit Immunology ListServ to help facilitate the exchange of information and encourage researcher collaboration. All messages to the list will be monitored and approved by NIAID staff.
