On June 5, 2015, the U.S. Departments of Labor, Commerce, and Education signed a Joint Declaration of Intent with the German Federal Ministries of Education and Research, Economic Affairs and Energy, and Labor and Social Affairs to strengthen cooperation on career and technical education, including apprenticeship.
