  • Graphic visualization of sequence features using a novel “locus view” (GenBank, FASTA, and EMBL formats are also available)
  • Precise BLAST results against the papillomavirus-specific PaVE databases, including all Papillomavirus nucleotide and peptide sequences from GenBank
  • Dynamic keyword search: Search results and filter options are automatically updated as you apply filters for partial versus complete genomes, year submitted, country of origin, molecule, annotation features, taxonomy, and more
  • Easy-to-browse features such as BLAST alignment roll-ups and drop-down menus

Overview

The PaVE provides information and analytical resources to the scientific community for research on the Papillomaviridae family of viruses. The overarching goal of the PaVE is to provide core components needed to accelerate scientific progress and ultimately our understanding, detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases caused by papillomaviruses.

LANL Human Papillomaviruses Database Archive

The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) developed and hosted a Human Papillomaviruses Database with compendia of HPV sequence information between 1994 and 1997 with funding from NIAID. Though this data presented on these Web pages is outdated, it is still useful as a reference to the HPV community. PaVE now hosts the LANL Human Papillomaviruses Database as a reference archive in service to the papillomavirus research community. Go to the LANL Human Papillomaviruses Database archive for years 1994 to 1997.

Access

PaVE is provided free of charge by NIAID.

Background

The Office of Cyber Infrastructure and Computational Biology created PaVE in cooperation with the Laboratory of Viral Diseases DNA Tumor Virus Section.
