On November 14, 2016, U.S. Department announced the selection of Dr. Molly Irwin to lead the Chief Evaluation Office. As the Chief Evaluation Officer, Dr. Irwin is responsible for coordinating the Department's evaluation agenda, working with agencies to design and implement evaluations, and overseeing the data analytics unit. CEO has initiated several research and evaluation projects to examine worker leave programs. These analyses examine various types of paid and unpaid leave programs, including FMLA, state leave, employer/firm leave, and temporary disability leave, and determine how different programs affect individuals’ labor force activity, employment, earnings, and household income.
