Shared Resources That Amplify and Expand Research Capabilities

The robust and dynamic UAB biomedical research/academic institution includes about 1.3M NASF of research, procedure and support space contiguous to the SEBLAB. The approximately 1000 scientists at UAB maintain approximately $400M in HHS funded research. The program includes many shared resources that could support the SEBLAB as needed and include the following:

  • SEBLAB Aerosol Core
  • Transgenic Animal/Embryonic Stem Cell Resource
  • Genetically Engineered Mutant Mouse Core Facility
  • Epitope Recognition Immunoreagent (Hybridoma) Core
  • Small Animal Imaging Core
  • Multi-Modality Imaging Core
  • Microsurgical Core
  • Small Animal Metabolic Phenotyping Core
  • Neuroscience Behavioral Phenotyping Core
  • Cellular and Synaptic Physiology Core
  • Flow Cytometry Core
  • Animal X-Ray Irradiator Resource
