Next DCoE Webinar: Post-deployment Gender Differences in PTSD and Unhealthy Drinking

Women military members have played an integral role in U.S. military history and have comprised approximately 10 percent of deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, yet women’s combat experiences and post-deployment problems have been largely unstudied. This webinar will cover recent research that has focused on the post-deployment gender differences in PTSD and unhealthy drinking among military service members.

Learn more about the webinar and register to attend “Post-deployment Gender Differences in PTSD and Unhealthy Drinking”, 1-2:30 p.m. (ET) Oct. 27, 2016

October is Women's Health Month!

Women’s health is essential to force readiness. While women and men have many of the same health issues, women may be affected differently than men. In addition, there are some conditions which are unique to women. Familiarity with women’s health issues, regular screenings and prevention are keys to maintaining good health.

Read more about women’s health issues, the importance of regular screenings, proper sleep, nutrition and prevention on the Military Health System website.
