YRBSS monitors six types of health-risk behaviors that contribute to the leading causes of death and disability among youth and adults.
Protective Factors
Protective factors are individual or environmental characteristics, conditions, or behaviors that reduce the effects of stressful life events.
Youth Sexual Risk Behaviors
Schools and other youth-serving organizations can help young people adopt lifelong attitudes and behaviors that support their health and well-being.
Success Stories
CDC supports state, territorial, and local agencies and tribal governments to help strengthen their capacity to improve child and adolescent health.
