Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP)

OCCSP provides cost share assistance to producers and handlers of agricultural products who are obtaining or renewing their certification under the National Organic Program (NOP). Certified operations may receive up to 75 percent of their certification costs paid during October 1, 2016, through September 30, 2017, not to exceed $750 per certification scope.

Information for State Agencies:

The application package for State Agencies will be posted on Grants.gov by January 3, 2017. The application deadline for State Agencies is February 17, 2017.  FSA will continue to consider applications submitted after the deadline pending availability of funding.

Information for producers and handlers:

Producers and handlers may submit OCCSP applications to FSA county offices beginning on March 20, 2017, or they may apply through participating State Agencies, which will be listed on this website as their agreements to administer the program are finalized.
