warn_icon.gif IMPORTANT MESSAGE Nov 08, 2016    0.25 degree GLDAS-1 data will end on 12/31/2016

The  0.25 degree GLDAS-1 data products (i.e., GLDAS_NOAH025SUBP_3H and GLDAS_NOAH025_M) will end on 12/31/2016, following the termination of the Collection 5 forward-processing of the MODIS snow product. The last delivery of the 0.25 degree GLDAS-1 data will be in mid-January 2017, to extend the data up to 12/31/2016. They will be replaced with the GLDAS-2.1, 0.25 degree products, which will be released by the GES DISC in December 2016. The 0.25 degree GLDAS-1 data will remain accessible until March 31, 2017.

warn_icon.gif IMPORTANT MESSAGE Jul 24, 2015    Why do my Data Holdings look different?

Accessing your data through the GES DISC web site may seem a little unfamiliar to you to these days, but we can assure you, your data is all still available. The location of the data in the online archive has not changed.

The GES DISC has implemented a new interactive interface to make finding data easier than ever. We've added features like searching by keywords, filtering by criteria such as measurements, processing level and spatial resolution, and sortable data columns so now you can fine tune your search results. To get you started we put together a Help document to introduce you to the new interface. If you have any questions about the new design please contact us using the Feedback link in the upper right-hand corner or contact the GES DISC Help Desk by sending email to gsfc-help-disc@lists.nasa.gov.

Supporting the Hydrological Sciences Laboratory (HSL)

The Hydrology DISC supports data products generated by GSFC's Hydrological Sciences Laboratory (HSL). Data products from North America Land Data Assimilation System (NLDAS),  Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS), and Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) Land Data Assimilation System
(FLDAS) can  be accessed through http, the Mirador search and access tool or the GrADS Data Server (GDS). The LDAS systems integrate data from multiple space-based Earth observing systems using advanced land surface modeling and assimilation techniques. These products support weather and climate forecast experiments, water resources applications, and water and energy cycle research.

The data are provisional and subject to change as model improvements are implemented and new input data sets become available.

Other atmospheric moisture and precipitation products are available from the AIRS and Precipitation Data and Information Services Centers.
