The Office of the Solicitor's mission is to meet the legal service demands of the Department of Labor.

Our People

The Solicitor of Labor, office leadership, and employees of the Office of the Solicitor are a diverse and experienced team of attorneys and support staff who work diligently to fulfill the mission of the Office of the Solicitor.

What We Do

What We Do

Under the leadership of the Front Office, the Office of the Solicitor's ten divisions in the Washington, D.C. headquarters office are organized by program-specific areas to provide client agencies with focused legal services and advice. The Office of the Solicitor also has seven regional and seven branch offices which serve as lower court trial litigation centers and provide legal services and advice within the regions.
