New Funding Opportunity to Create Cryo-EM Centers
The Transformative High Resolution Cryo-Electron Microscopy program issued a funding opportunity for the establishment of national cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) service centers. Centers will provide nationwide access to state-of-the-art equipment, technical support, and cross-training for the production and analysis of high-resolution data. Applications due June 30, 2017.

New Common Fund FY2018 Programs!
The Common Fund is planning to support two new programs in fiscal year 2018: Human BioMolecular Atlas Platform (HuBMAP) and Transformative High Resolution Cryo-Electron Microscopy. Additionally, Illuminating the Druggable Genome, Metabolomics, and the Undiagnosed Diseases Network will be supported for a second stage beginning in fiscal year 2018.

New Funding Opportunity to Support Metabolomics Data Analysis!
The Metabolomics program has issued a funding opportunity announcement to foster collaboration between computational scientists, metabolomics experts, and biomedical researchers in developing, piloting, and/or validating novel bioinformatic approaches that address current analytical hurdles in metabolomics data.  Applications are due February 14, 2017

Opportunity to Sequence Pediatric Cohorts!
The Gabriella Miller Kids First Program is soliciting applications to provide samples for whole genome sequencing that will help researchers understand the genetic contribution to childhood cancers and structural birth defects.  Applications due March 7, 2017.

The HCS Research Collaboratory Solicits a New Round of Pragmatic Clinical Trial Demonstration Projects. The Health Care Systems Research Collaboratory issued a funding opportunity announcement for a new round of demonstration projects that for efficient, large-scale pragmatic clinical trials working with healthcare systems as research partners. Multiple NIH Institutes and Centers have signed on to participate. Applications due June 2, 2017.
