The Farm Service Agency is a federal agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Located in all 50 states, our mission is to help American farmers provide reasonably priced food and fiber to the nation and the world.

The Farm Service Agency State Committee in Arizona oversees the activities of the agency. The members are appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture each year. They hear appeals from local farmers and guide the direction of agency policy.

PROGRAM DATES AND DEADLINES

• October 31: NAP Closing Date for Cantaloupe, Honeydews, Lettuce, and Small Grains
• November 1: Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees and Farm-Raised Fish Program (ELAP) application deadline
• November 15: Acreage Reporting Deadline for all Forage Crops (e.g. Alfalfa (Grazing or Haying), non-Alfalfa (Grazing or Haying))
• November 21: NAP Closing Date for: Apples, Apricots, Cherries, Citrus, Greens, Honey, Peaches, Pears, Peas, Plums, and Watermelon
• November 21: First Signup Deadline for Conservation Reserve Program-Grasslands (CRP)
• November 30: NAP Closing Date for Potatoes
• December 16: Deadline for MPP Elections for 2017. Enrollment period runs July 1-December 16, 2016.
• January 2, 2017: NAP Closing date for Dates and Pistachios
