MIECHV/EHS Home-Based Model

The EHS Home-Based Model is one of the evidence-based home visiting models selected for the Affordable Care Act Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program. All the selected models help to: improve child health; prevent child abuse and neglect; encourage positive parenting; and promote child development and school readiness. MIECHV coordinates work at the federal, state, and local levels and grants are made to states and tribal communities.

For questions about implementing the Early Head Start Home-Based Model, please contact David Jones, Office of Head Start fatherhood specialist, or Christina Benjamin at the Office of Head Start.
