On September 20, 2011, the U.S. Postal Service unveiled the image of the Save the Vanishing Species Stamp, a beautiful Amur tiger cub with an amazing facial structure, designed by Nancy Stahl. The price of the stamp marginally exceeds the cost of first class postage. Proceeds made from the stamp are being used to benefit wild endangered animals around the world - including tigers, rhinos, gorillas, Asian and African elephants, and marine turtles.

This stamp is an ideal way for Americans to voluntarily show their support for wildlife conservation, and the public has responded very positively by purchasing more than 35 million stamps - resulting in over $3.7 million raised so far benefiting the Multinational Conservation Species Fund.
