Who is Inspector Administration? Inspector Administration is a division in the Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC), servicing the Public and Indian Housing (PIH) program.

What is our mission? Our mission is to provide timely and quality service by monitoring inspector performance and taking corrective action, as needed, to ensure that REAC inspections are conducted within a pre-defined acceptable quality level.

How is our mission accomplished? IA accomplishes its mission by conducting a thorough analysis of each Quality Assurance (QA) observance and inspection review to determine if administrative action is necessary for poorly performing inspectors.

IA is then responsible for taking subsequent corrective action by notifying inspectors of performance concerns which may result in deactivation or decertification of inspectors who do not perform inspections in accordance with Inspector Notice No. 2002-02, Inspector Administration Business Rules.

REAC Certified and Active Inspectors: REAC lists inspectors who are currently Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS) certified, active and working for organizations that have contracts with HUD to perform inspection services. This list has been expanded to include individuals who are acting independently and may or may not be associated with an organization.
