USAID'S DEMOCRACY AND GOVERNANCE PROGRAM IN BANGLADESH AIMS TO HELP LOCAL GOVERNMENT, PARLIAMENT/PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARIAT, POLITICAL PARTIES, AND CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS TO:

  • Support civil society through civic education programs, journalism training, advocacy, and public media assistance;
  • Create accountability and transparency in the public sector; and
  • Reduce domestic violence and increase human rights activism in Bangladesh.
