Fall Leaf Season in HendersonBeginning in November, crews from the Public Works Department will vacuum leaves that have been raked down to the street. Please place your leaves down near the street or edge of your lawn, but NOT OUT INTO THE STREET. Leaves in the street can get into stormwater drains and cause problems like localized flooding. You can also BAG your leaves, and place the bags near the street. Henderson Water Utility no longer provides free leaf bags, but you can use your own. The Public Works Department will collect all of your bagged leaves. The City will vacuum up leaves and pick up filled bags until all of the leaves have been collected. Call the Public Works Department at 270-831-1234 if you have any questions. Technical Manual for Potable Water FacilitiesHWU technical and engineering staff has revised and rewritten their Technical Manual for Potable Water Facilities. This is the first revision since 2004, and these standards are used for new construction, development and repairs. Details are available here. 2016 CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REPORTS
