We’re in the final days of Open Enrollment for 2017 health coverage. Americans have until January 31 to enroll in affordable health coverage through HealthCare.gov. As the deadline approaches, HHS is doing everything we can to make sure Americans know about their options to sign up. This Open Enrollment, we have worked with several private sector companies to encourage Americans to sign up for quality, affordable health coverage. Several companies have committed to reaching their customers and clients nationwide – with a focus on uninsured young adults – to promote Open Enrollment.

These companies include:

  • General Growth Properties is an S&P 500 company focused exclusively on owning, managing, leasing, and redeveloping high quality retail properties throughout the United States. GGP is hosting enrollment events and distributing ACA literature in the following three locations in top tier markets: Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, and Atlanta.
  • Phone2Action is a digital grassroots advocacy company that supplies social advocacy and civil engagement tools that connect constituents with their elected officials. They are sharing ACA messaging through their company newsletter and through their in-person roundtables, where many of their young consumers convene to discuss a range of topics and issues.
  • PayNearMe enables consumers to pay their rent remotely, make purchases online, and make other transactions that have typically become electronic at nearly 17,000 7-Eleven, Family Dollar and ACE Cash Express stores across the U.S. They are sharing information about Open Enrollment and the ACA through their website, on 7-11 receipts, and through a blogpost.
  • HEB is an American privately held supermarket chain based in San Antonio, Texas, with more than 350 stores throughout the U.S. They are hosting Open Enrollment agents and brokers in 175 stores in Texas.

Check out your options for affordable, quality coverage at HealthCare.gov. Financial assistance may be available to help you get covered. In fact, most can find plans with premiums for less than $75 a month after tax credits. And you can get 24/7 help comparing plans and enrolling in coverage by calling 1-800-318-2596 or finding in-person assistance in your community at https://localhelp.healthcare.gov.

Make sure your friends and family know that January 31 is the final deadline to get covered for 2017. Share this blog post with your friends and family.
