Webinar on Results of First-Ever USDA Local Food Marketing Practices Survey

Event Date:
Tuesday, January 24, 2017 - 11:45am to 12:30pm

More than 167,000 U.S. farms locally produced and sold food through direct marketing practices, resulting in $8.7 billion in revenue in 2015, according to the results from the first Local Food Marketing Practices Survey, originally released on Dec. 20, 2016 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). The report results cover both fresh and value-added foods, such as meat and cheese.

Join NASS and the USDA Local and Regional Food Working Group for a live webinar covering the results of the 2015 Local Food Marketing Practices Survey. You will learn more about the background, sampling and survey process, and details about the farms, their marketing practices, and revenue at the national, regional and in some cases state level.
