Capacity Building

The Office of Minority Health Resource Center provides technical assistance and capacity building services to health care agencies and organizations throughout the United States and its territories and jurisdictions. Service delivery is provided to increase the strength and competence of organizations. OMHRC defines technical assistance as short-range, acute services provided to agencies and organizations. Capacity Building activities are considered to be more long-range when services are provided typically over a two-year time period.

HIV in Communities of Color

HIV and AIDS disproportionally impact racial and ethnic communities in the United States. Since 1999, OMHRC has focused on improving the organizational capacity of agencies that provide HIV/AIDS services to these underserved communities.
