The International Nuclear Information System (INIS)
hosts one of the world's largest collections of published information on the peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology. It offers online access to a unique repository of non-conventional literature. INIS is operated by the IAEA in collaboration with over 150 members.

45th INIS Anniversary Newsletter

2015 marks the 45th anniversary since the creation of INIS. INIS has come a long way since the IAEA Board of Governors approved the International Nuclear Information System in 1969. Officially, INIS started operations in January 1970, but it wasn't until May 1970 that its first product, the INIS Atomindex, was issued. This date is considered the 'birth' of INIS.
