Planning overview
Background on why planning is important and how we develop plans for national wildlife refuges, wetland management districts, and landscapes in the Mountain–Prairie Region.

Comprehensive conservation plans
Plans that direct the management of resources and public use at national wildlife refuges and wetland management districts in the Mountain–Prairie Region over a 15-year period. Review our planning schedule. Find out about plans in progress and opportunities to get involved.

Land protection plans
Plans that analyze opportunities to protect lands across the Mountain–Prairie Region in strategic ways: through expansion of existing national wildlife refuges or wetland management districts, establishment of new refuges or district lands, and identification of landscape values that need protection.
