Research

The Connecting Kids to Coverage National Campaign periodically conducts research to gain insight about the audiences we are trying to reach in our outreach and enrollment efforts. Research findings are incorporated into the Campaign strategy, including messaging and tactics. The insights below may also help Connecting Kids to Coverage grantees, partners and other groups conducting Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program outreach and enrollment plan future activities.

National Survey of Low-Income Parents

The 2011 Topline Report: Key Findings from a National Survey of Low-Income Parents examined low-income parents' experiences around their children's health insurance coverage, as well as awareness of and attitudes toward Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). This survey has helped inform policy, outreach, and education for the Connecting Kids to Coverage National Campaign, as well as other Medicaid and CHIP enrollment efforts.
