Regional Leadership Meeting Scheduled for January 30
Emergency Communication Network's next Regional Leadership meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 30, 2017 at the MnDOT Conference Center (3725 12th Street North, St. Cloud).
The meetings are held three times per year and are an opportunity for the leadership of each region to share and learn from one another. Although we do set an agenda, it is a work in progress and your ideas for discussion are always welcome. We hope regional leaders -- both formal and informal -- can set aside time to take part in this event.
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Jim Stromberg at james.stromberg@state.mn.us.
911 Connections with Neighboring States
The development of Minnesota’s Next Generation 911 (NG911) backbone provides many new opportunities for life-saving technology, not only within our state, but across borders as well. DPS-ECN 911 recently worked with our partners in North Dakota, Iowa and South Dakota to identify ways to connect their respective NG911 systems seamlessly. 911 Program Manager Dana Wahlberg is working to document technical and operational challenges of connecting Minnesota’s network in the NG911 Interstate Playbook. That information will be shared between states as Minnesota and its neighbors work to interconnect NG911 across borders to offer a superior service.
