Reports

The Secretarial Order requires three specific deliverables:

  1. The Implementation Plan, Secretarial Order 3336 – Rangeland Fire Prevention, Management, and Restoration (“Plan”) (PDF, 219 KB) is the roadmap to accomplish the objectives of Secretarial Order Number 3336, Rangeland Fire Prevention, Management, and Restoration (“Order”) (PDF, 86 KB), signed by Secretary Jewell on January 5, 2015. The Plan provides a short background describing the importance of the sagebrush-steppe ecosystem; why the Order was issued; and lays out the timeline and methodology to be used in developing both the Initial report, due March 1, 2015, and the Final report, due May 1, 2015.
  2. SO 3336 - The Initial Report: A Strategic Plan for Addressing Rangeland Fire Prevention, Management, and Restoration in 2015 (PDF, 1.8 MB) outlines the specific actions the Department of the Interior and our partners can take prior to the 2015 Western wildfire season and those currently underway.
  3. An Integrated Rangeland Fire Management Strategy: Final Report to the Secretary of the Interior, May 2015 (PDF, 4.5 MB) outlines the specific actions that the Department of Interior and partners can take during the remainder of FY 2015, FY 2016, and beyond.
