Fake ID News Conference
In recent years, fake IDs have become increasingly sophisticated and harder to recognize. 
The Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division (DPS-AGED) in conjunction with the Mankato Department of Public Safety and Rounders Sports Bar & Grill recently held a news conference to talk about the use of fake IDs at establishments, especially around college campuses.
Bar owners and staff can be held criminally and civilly liable for serving customers under 21 if the minor is injured or killed in an alcohol-related incident or if that person kills or injures someone else.
“We don't want to have to go to one more parent and say your kid is not coming home because of a tragedy that was preventable” said DPS-AGED Special Agent Terry Kelley.
