The Bureau of Land Management employs interns and youth crews through partner organizations to complete our mission work and to reach the next generation of conservation lands.

This work covers a broad spectrum and offers solid learning opportunities for those exploring possible career tracts. Their days can be long as they cover nearly four million acres monitoring range transects, capturing Habitat Assessment Framework inventory, collecting seeds for future rehabilitation projects or taking thermograph readings in a Wild and Scenic Rivers corridor.

Meet a few of those interns and the partners that support their work with the BLM.
