Through a grant from the National Science Foundation, students from across the U.S. have the opportunity to come together this spring at one of six face-to-face regional student research symposia.
On 13 October 2016, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden and Peace Corps Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet signed a Letter of Intent for The GLOBE Program at NASA Headquarters (HQ) in Washington, D.C.
Between 2-3 October 2016, GLOBE Sri Lanka held a teacher training for the teachers of the 12th GLOBE teacher group at the National Institute for Education (Maharagama, Colombo, Sri Lanka).
On 5 December 2016, U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland Suzan LeVine, along with her husband Mr. Eric Levine, paid a visit to the GLOBE classroom of acclaimed teacher Markus Eugster.
GLOBE ENSO (El Niño Southern Oscillation) Campaign has been formulated to engage students in determining where and how much El Niño affects local places and to put students in contact with their local environment.
The GOES-R: Global Weather Watchers K-14 project encourages students to share weather reports from around the world. Through data collection, learning activities, and comparisons to geostationary satellites, students will learn firsthand the connectedness of global weather patterns and global transport systems.
