USTR's Office of Southeast Asia and Pacific Affairs seeks to enhance bilateral trade and investment relations with the countries of Southeast Asia, as well as Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.

The office also works to advance relations regionally through initiatives aimed at regional economic integration, such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) and our Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

In addition, the office coordinates efforts with the Southeast Asian countries, Australia, and New Zealand on Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), World Trade Organization (WTO) negotiations, and other regional and multilateral initiatives.
