Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers medically necessary treatment of a surgical or surgically treated wound.
Who's eligible?
All people with Medicare are covered.
Your costs in Original Medicare
You pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for doctor's or other health care provider's services. You pay a fixed copayment for these services when you get them in a hospital outpatient setting. You pay nothing for the supplies. The Part B deductible applies.
