Emergency Department Data

The Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN) was a public health surveillance system that monitored drug-related hospital emergency department visits in order to report on the impact of drug use, misuse, and abuse in metropolitan areas and across the nation. Reports in the Methodology Series address methodological issues concerning data collection systems conducted by SAMHSA's CBHSQ. These reports include studies of new statistical techniques and theories, survey methods, sample design, survey instrument design, and objective evaluations of the reliability of collected data.
