Workspace Utilization and Allocation Benchmark

The Office of Governmentwide Policy (OGP) is pleased to release GSA’s Workspace Utilization and Allocation Benchmark, a study of office workspace usage in the 
federal government and private sector.

OGP benchmark study:

• Establishes current trends in office workspace usage
  and management;
• Provides national and international workspace use practices;
• Explores future impacts on workspace usage in the
  federal government and private sector, and
• Offers valuable insight into enhancing workplace performance and improving asset management.

This study is a collaborative effort of diverse organizations within the federal, international and state governments, private sector firms, academia, and other entities.

OGP developed this benchmark study to promote the most efficient and optimal use of office workspace.
