In 1998, the Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act to require that all Federal agencies make electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Under Section 508 (29 U.S.C. 794d), agenices must:
- incorporate Section 508 requirements into policy and practice
- manage administrative complaints
- respond to reporting requirements
