Open Government Overview

The United State’s Open Government Directive instructs all federal agencies to actively open their operations to the public. GSA’s efforts are rooted in three principles at the heart of the directive: Transparency, Participation, and Collaboration.

Challenge.gov is a government-wide challenge platform that facilitates innovation through challenges and prizes and enables the public to find all federal government challenge opportunities in one place, to learn about them in easy, creative ways, and to be notified of new challenges.

The home of the U.S. Government’s open data, which increases public access to high-value government datasets, providing data, tools, and resources to conduct research, develop web and mobile applications, and design data visualizations.
