How to: Determine conserved synteny between the genomes of two organisms
Starting with an organism of interest...
- On the Map Viewer home page, click on the "magnifying glass" icon for one organism.
- Select the chromosome.
- Zoom, or use the Region Shown boxes on the left, to delimit the region.
- Use the Maps and Options dialog box to add maps from the other organisms. First select the organism, then the desired map, then click ADD. Note: Currently, you can compare chimp, human, mouse and rat.
- For human, you can also change the assembly.
