Briefly:
Shelbi Knisley joined ERS in August 2015 as an agricultural economist for the Crops Branch in the Market and Trade Economics Division. As a member of the World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB) Oilseeds Committee she serves as a commodity analyst for the monthly World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates Report (WASDE).
Background:
During her Master's program at Texas Tech University she studied agricultural economics with a focus on international trade and agricultural policy. Her thesis work focused on the international sorghum market.
Education:
Shelbi earned her M.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics at Texas Tech University August 2015. She also double majored with a B.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics at Texas Tech University and a B.B.A. in General Business at Texas Tech University December 2013.
