EV Everywhere: Electric Vehicle Stories

Drivers of electric vehicles who work at DOE and its national laboratories share their experiences. Read the text version.

One of the biggest drivers of people purchasing a plug-in electric vehicle (also known as an electric car or EV) is hearing about it from a family member, friend, co-worker or neighbor. Now with the help of new EV Everywhere decals you can further spread the word about the nationwide effort to drive the transition to electrified transportation. Here, we encourage you to check out other people’s EV stories and share your own.

For National Drive Electric Week 2015, the Department of Energy ran a social media campaign to Share Your EV Story. Explore what drivers had to say with our Storify post summarizing the event.

Outside of National Drive Electric Week, the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy frequently shares stories about workplace charging and new EV technologies on the EERE Facebook page.  The Department of Energy’s social media outlets also share EV news on Twitter and Instagram. We encourage you to share your own experiences with your EV using the #ILoveEVs hashtag.

The Driving on Energi project, supported by Clean Cities, is putting plug-in electric vehicles in the hands of EV ambassadors. Follow them on social media through the Driving on Energi website and the #drivingonenergi hashtag.

The Clean Cities TV YouTube Channel has a variety of videos about what Clean Cities coalitions and stakeholders across the country are doing to advance the use of EVs:

Businesses and organizations can also learn about other employers’ experiences with workplace charging on the EV Everywhere Workplace Charging Challenge site.
