Effects
Climate change affects U.S. agriculture, livestock and forests in many ways. Beyond variations in temperature, the effects can extend to precipitation, water availability, frequency of extreme events, and increased outbreaks of pests and disease, all of which can have an impact on productivity.
The Climate Change Program Office (CCPO) coordinates across USDA and other Federal agencies to help ensure that the effects of climate change are understood and that farmers, ranchers and forest land managers are positioned to manage these risks.

A periodic report from the U.S. Global Change Research Program that provides the President and Congress with up-to-date information on the science of climate change and its effects.

The interdisciplinary report was published by the U.S. Global Change Research Program with input from numerous federal agencies, and shows the effects of climate change from the recent past and projects the likely effects into the near future.
