BOEM's "Gulf of Mexico Shipwreck Corrosion, Hydrocarbon Exposure, Microbiology, and Archaeology (GOM-SCHEMA) project" is examining historic shipwrecks in the Gulf of Mexico to help scientists unlock mysteries of deep-sea ecosystems and impacts from the 2010 oil spill.

This video from Platform Heritage shows ‘Cable Enterprise’ lay the final section of cable for the ExxonMobil cable installation project. The ‘Cable Enterprise’ is a state-of-the-art dynamically positioned cable lay barge. It was recently retrofitted in Croatia and loaded with cable in Norway before being towed to California.
