NETL recognized National Hispanic Heritage Month 2016 with a guest speaker at the Pittsburgh laboratory site. The theme was “Hispanic Americans: Embracing, Enriching, and Enabling America.” Although the program was short, the organizers chose their speaker wisely. Shelia Cuella-Shaffer, a local Hispanic artist, was invited on site to give a talk—and to display some of her most engaging artwork.
