EAS Test Reporting System

Notice

A nationwide test of the EAS is scheduled for September 28, 2016.  A secondary test date is scheduled for October 5, 2016.

All EAS Participants should be aware of the following filing deadlines associated with the launch of the EAS Test Reporting System (ETRS).

  • Form One must be filed on or before August 26, 2016.
  • Form One filings may be edited until September 26, 2016.
  • Form Two must be filed on or before 11:59 pm EDT on September 28, 2016.
  • Form Three must be filed on or before November 14, 2016.

All EAS Participants are reminded that Form Two and Form Three must be filed by either (1) the same entity that filed Form One, or (2) a coordinator for the EAS Participant.

You can file Forms Two and Three for a facility by visiting the record for that facility.  You can access that record by taking the following steps:

  1. Click on the Records tab.
  2. Click on EAS Test Records.
  3. Click on one of your records.
  4. Click on the Submit Form Two or Submit Form Three button in the top-right corner of the page.
  5. Complete and submit the form.

Repeat these steps for each of your facilities.

To maximize the resources available to process Form Two filings, we recommend that EAS Participants file Form Two in accordance with the following schedule:

Facilities in Eastern Time Zone – 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm EDT
Facilities in Central Time Zone – 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm EDT (4:00 pm to 6:00 pm CDT)
Facilities in Mountain Time Zone – 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm EDT (5:00 pm to 6:00 pm MDT)
Facilities in Pacific Time Zone – 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm EDT (5:00 pm to 6:30 pm PDT)
Facilities in all other time zones – 9:30 pm to 11:59 pm EDT

If you cannot file for your facilities at the recommended time, you may file at any other time.  Relatedly, we urge all EAS Participants to submit Form Three no earlier than September 29.

ETRS – Description

The ETRS is a system in which EAS Participants must file identifying information, day of test data, and post-test data related to a nationwide test.  ETRS provides several new features that ease the data-entry burden on EAS Participants, encourage timely filings, and minimize input errors.  The ETRS also offers new data fields that are responsive to stakeholder comments.

The EAS Test Reporting System (ETRS) is now live.  It can be accessed from the links below.
