Plans Section
Overview
The Plans Section of BOEM's Alaska OCS Region manages all post-lease exploration and development activities relating to lease development. The Plans Section coordinates the review and authorization of Plans from leaseholders for proposed activities. The Plans Section ensures that lease holders follow all lease mitigation, terms of sale, and approval conditions when exploring for and developing the oil and gas resources in the federal waters off Alaska. In this capacity, the section fosters collaboration and effective communication with other federal, state, local agencies, local communities, and stakeholders to ensure environmentally sound and safe OCS oil and gas exploration and development activities.
