This is the archived site for Aid for Institutions of Higher Education Impacted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita for Postsecondary Education. Congress appropriated $30 million in additional funding for institutions of higher education that were forced to close, relocate, or significantly curtail their activities as a result of damage caused by the hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico in 2005.
